WordCamp Savannah 2010

Location

WordCamp Savannah will be August 20-22, 2010 at the SCAD River Club in downtown Savannah, and will bring together WordPress users, developers, fans, and newbies for a weekend of WordPress goodness. Haven’t registered yet? Do so here.

Directions
From I-95, driving south

• Take Exit 5, US-17 S
• Follow US-17 over the Talmadge Bridge
• Take Oglethorpe Ave/GA 25 Conn ramp toward Savannah
• Turn left on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Continue until reaching the River Club, on the left after Bay Street.

From I-95, driving north

• Merge onto I-16 E/GA-404 E via exit 99A toward Savannah.
• Take the Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd exit, exit 167A.
• Turn left on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Continue until reaching the River Club, on the left after Bay Street.

From Atlanta

• Take I-75 S
• Merge onto I-16 E/GA 404 via exit 165 (on the left) toward Savannah.
• Take the Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd exit, exit 167A.
• Turn left on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Continue until reaching the River Club, on the left after Bay Street.

From Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport**

• After exiting the airport, merge onto I-95S via the ramp on the left toward Savannah.
• Merge onto I-16 E/GA 404 E via exit 99A toward Savannah.
• Take the Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd exit, exit 167A.
• Turn left on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Continue until reaching the River Club, on the left after Bay Street.

**Taxi from Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport to Downtown locations will cost around $28 + any other additional charges (luggage, extra passengers).

Parking at the River Club

There will be blocked off parking in front of the River Club, and the parking lots located on Indian St. next to Hamilton Hall and Adler Hall will be open. Street parking is also available on Indian St., but avoid parking next to yellow curbs (you will get a ticket).

Savannah is a city full of hotels of all kinds (we’re being serious, there’s one on every corner). Here are some that are close to the River Club.

Restaurants

Along with hotels, there are restaurants of all types- and for all budgets. You can grab anything from BBQ to pizza to good ol’ southern cooking. Here are some of our favorites in the area. Make sure to ask us for Tybee Island locations and bar recommendations if you’re interested.
